It was so educative on how to keep my files easily accessible and to store, and also to remember to clear files no longer required.
Rating: 5/5
The highlight of this module was the Ribbon. Learning how to navigate the menu effectively will allow me to work more professionally by providing quick access to the tools I need. This will save me significant time and help me stay efficient and punctual.
I gave this rating because the module was clear, satisfying, and delivered in an easy-to-understand way. The practical exercises made the learning experience truly amazing.
The best part of the module: The quiz was particularly engaging. It sharpened my mind and helped me retain what I studied. While it was challenging, thatβs exactly what made it interestingβit forced me to think twice, re-read the questions, and practice patience.
Suggestions for improvement: I suggest providing sample datasets for practice or recommending sources where we can download raw data. Other than that, everything is progressing perfectly!
4/5 a good module for starters, the pace is okay. Most interestingly the new things that are discovered to be possible to shorten time duration. for example wanting to have the same work as the sample data and realize you have check up the way the formatting was done. I think, the module has strong interactive and multimedia features.
After completing the lessons on working with files and folders, I have developed a strong understanding of how digital information is created, stored, organized, and managed on a computer. This module was very practical and relevant to everyday computer use.
I learned what files are and how they store different types of information such as documents, images, audio, and videos. I also understood the importance of folders as containers used to organize files logically. Creating folders, renaming them appropriately, and placing files in the correct folders has helped me appreciate the value of proper file organization.
The lesson on File Explorer was particularly helpful. I learned how to open and navigate File Explorer, view drives and folders, and move between locations on the computer. I also learned how to use the search bar to quickly locate files and folders by name, which saves time and improves efficiency, especially when dealing with many files.
I gained practical skills in using a USB drive to store, copy, transfer, and back up files from one computer to another. I now understand the importance of safely ejecting the USB drive to avoid data loss or corruption.
The module also covered deleting files and folders correctly and explained the role of the Recycle Bin. I learned that deleted files are first moved to the Recycle Bin, where they can be restored if needed. I also learned how and when to empty the Recycle Bin to permanently remove unwanted files and free up storage space.
Another important area was naming files and folders properly. I learned to use clear, meaningful names and avoid unnecessary symbols so that files are easy to identify and retrieve later. I also learned how to locate files in their correct places instead of saving everything on the desktop.
The lesson on decongesting the desktop was very useful. I now understand that keeping too many files on the desktop can make the computer slow and difficult to manage. Organizing files into folders within Documents, Pictures, or other appropriate locations helps maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
Finally, the module emphasized good digital habits, such as organizing files regularly, deleting unnecessary files, backing up important data, and maintaining order in file storage. These habits promote productivity, data safety, and responsible computer use.
Overall, this course has greatly improved my confidence and skills in managing files and folders. The knowledge gained will help me work more efficiently, stay organized, and use computers more responsibly in both academic and professional settings.
The Module was well tailored to my understanding. every assignment had clear instructions and lessons were dropped on time.
