The Attitude of Service
π Mark 10:45 (NKJV)
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
My Dear Children,
Jesus teaches us that greatness in Godβs kingdom is shown through service. Although He was the Son of God, He chose to serve others. His life showed humility, love, and sacrifice.
In John 13:14β15, Jesus washed the feet of His disciples and then told them to follow His example. This act showed that no act of service is too small when it is done with love.
Galatians 5:13 also reminds us to serve one another through love. Service is not about recognition or reward. It is about caring for others and reflecting Godβs character.
Relevance to Life and Family
In families, service is shown through simple daily actions, helping with chores, supporting one another, and caring for those who need help. When children learn to serve, they grow in kindness and responsibility.
A home where each member serves the others becomes a place of unity and cooperation.
Family Reflection
Why did Jesus choose to serve others?
What are some ways we can serve one another at home?
How does serving others show love?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, teach our family to have a heart of service. Help us follow the example of Jesus by caring for others and serving with humility. May our actions reflect Your love in everything we do. In Jesusβ name, Amen.
