The Attitude of Gratitude
π 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV)
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
My Dear Children,
God teaches us that gratitude should be part of our daily attitude. This verse does not say we should give thanks only when things go well. It says in everything give thanks. Gratitude helps us recognize that God is present in every season of life.
The Bible shows us that thankful hearts please God. In Luke 17:15β16, when Jesus healed ten lepers, only one returned to give thanks. His gratitude made him stand out.
Psalm 107:1 also reminds us, βOh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.β When we remember Godβs goodness, gratitude naturally grows in our hearts.
Relevance to Life and Family
Families experience both easy and difficult moments. Gratitude helps us focus on Godβs blessings rather than our frustrations. Children learn thankfulness when they hear it practiced by their parents.
A home filled with gratitude becomes a place of joy and peace.
Family Reflection
Why does God encourage us to give thanks in everything?
What blessings can we thank God for today?
How can our family practice gratitude daily?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, teach our family to be thankful in every circumstance. Help us recognize Your goodness and mercy in our lives. Fill our home with gratitude and joy. In Jesusβ name, Amen.
Amenπ
