Love That Listens
π James 1:19 (NKJV)
βSo then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.β
My Dear Children,
One of the strongest ways to show love in a family is by listening. Many problems begin when we speak too quickly and listen too little. God teaches us to be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.
Listening means giving someone your full attention. It means trying to understand their feelings, not just waiting for your turn to talk. When we listen carefully, we show respect and care for one another.
In a family, listening helps parents understand their children and helps children feel valued and heard. Love grows where listening is practiced.
Relevance to Life and Family:
Homes become peaceful when family members listen to one another. Listening reduces misunderstandings and helps solve problems calmly. When parents listen, children learn confidence. When children listen, they learn wisdom.
At school and at home, listening helps us learn better and grow faster. Families that listen to one another build trust and strong relationships.
Family Reflection:
- How well do we listen to one another at home
- What usually stops us from listening carefully
- How can we practice better listening as a family
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for teaching us the power of listening.
Help our family to listen with patience and love.
Teach us to speak wisely and respond calmly.
Let our home be filled with understanding, respect, and peace.
In Jesusβ name, Amen.
listening is a twin brother to patience, when one listens carefully, he centerplates what he/she hears, and in most times one gives the best advice and help to the one in need be it childrenπ©βπ¦π©βπ§βπ¦, friends,π¨βπ¨βπ§βπ§π¨βπ¨βπ§βπ§ relatives, wife or husband. Therefore we as parents we must practice the skill of listening to others since we're the family pillars and everything rotates on us
LUBEGA EMMANUEL KISIGA this is well digested for sure π
