God Is Working Even When We Cannot See It

πŸ“– Genesis 39:2 (NKJV)

The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man…

My Dear Children,

When Joseph was sold into Egypt, it may have looked like his life had fallen apart. He was separated from his father, removed from his home, and forced into a foreign land. Yet the Bible repeatedly says something remarkable: β€œThe Lord was with Joseph.”

What many people overlook is that God's presence did not prevent Joseph from facing difficulties. Instead, God's presence sustained him through them.

Joseph did not immediately move from the pit to the palace. There were years of hardship in between. He served faithfully in Potiphar's house, was falsely accused, and was later imprisoned. Yet throughout these seasons, God was quietly working behind the scenes.

Romans 8:28 teaches that β€œall things work together for good to those who love God.” This does not mean everything that happens is good, but it means God can work through every situation for His purposes.

Psalm 105:19 says, β€œUntil the time that his word came to pass, the word of the Lord tested him.” Joseph's waiting season was also a growing season.

Relevance to Life and Family

Sometimes families go through situations they do not understand. Plans change, disappointments come, and prayers seem unanswered. During such times, it may feel like nothing is happening.

Joseph's story reminds us that God is often doing His greatest work when we cannot yet see the results.

Family Reflection

Why do you think Joseph remained faithful during difficult times?
What does it mean that β€œthe Lord was with Joseph”?
How can we trust God when we do not understand what He is doing?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You that You are always at work, even when we cannot see it. Help our family trust You during difficult seasons and remain faithful while You carry out Your plans. Remind us that Your presence is with us wherever we go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
