God Is Our Peace: JEHOVAH SHALOM
📖 Judges 6:24 (NKJV)
“So Gideon built an altar there to the Lord, and called it The-Lord-Is-Peace…”
My dear children,
One of God’s beautiful names is JEHOVAH SHALOM, which means “The Lord Is Peace.”
This name reminds us that true peace does not come from a quiet house, money, comfort, or safety: it comes from God Himself.
Gideon was afraid, overwhelmed, and unsure of the future.
But when God spoke to him, he felt peace in his heart; a peace that calmed his fears and gave him courage.
Gideon built an altar and called God “The Lord Is Peace.”
God wants our hearts, our minds, and our homes to be filled with His peace.
His peace stays with us even in challenges, storms, and uncertainties.
Relevance to Life and Family:
When families choose to rely on JEHOVAH SHALOM, they become calmer, kinder, and stronger.
God’s peace helps us:
- stay calm when we feel afraid
- speak gently instead of shouting
- forgive quicker
- handle problems wisely
- sleep peacefully
- reduce stress and anxiety
- bring comfort to one another
Peace is not the absence of problems; it is the presence of God in the middle of them.
A peaceful family becomes a safe space for everyone.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being JEHOVAH SHALOM - our Peace.

Let Your peace rule in our minds and guide our steps.

I need God's peace in our family....because it's the only way we can be whole and together....we can bring God's peace in our family through praying together......solving conflicts and listening to each other's views and taking them seriously.......God's peace is better than the worldly peace because God's peace is enternal while the worldly peace psts for only a little while........♥️♥️
