Courage to Try and Not Give Up

πŸ“– Joshua 1:9 (NKJV)

β€œHave I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

My Dear Children,
God speaks these words to Joshua at a moment when he is facing great responsibility and uncertainty. God does not tell him that the journey will be easy. Instead, He commands him to be strong and courageous because He promises to be with him.

In school and in life, children will face challenges, new subjects, mistakes, and moments of fear. God’s Word reminds us that courage does not come from knowing everything, but from trusting that God is present with us wherever we go.

Relevance to Life and Family
Parents and children alike face moments of discouragement. When families rely on God’s promise of His presence, they learn not to give up when things are hard. Courage grows when we remember that God walks with us through every challenge.

A family that trusts God’s promises builds resilience and faith together.

Family Reflection
What situations make us feel afraid or discouraged?
How does God’s promise in this verse help us be courageous?
How can we remind one another that God is always with us?

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise to be with us. Teach our family to be strong and courageous, not because life is easy, but because You are always present. Help us trust You and not give up when challenges come. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is what's called Having faith in the hell of fire, to day we face a lot of challenges ranging from financial burdens on our shoulders like sch. fees, welfare and ever rising medical bills, social struggles of growing up in slums & ghettos, family trials of modern marriages like family break ups & indiscipline children etc Despite all these we must know that He's with us all the time & the only action we must take is to seek, kneel & praise his name for he promised he will hear our cry and always come to our rescue;

God's promise is steadfast: He is with us now just as He was then. We have the guarantee that He will never abandon us, staying with us until the finish line. If we embrace this journey with strength and courage, we will surely reach our destination in His perfect timing.
